President's Message

Dear Coalition Sisters, Partners, and Friends,

It is both an honor and a profound privilege to serve as President of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Decatur-DeKalb Chapter, Inc. As we embark on this new chapter of leadership, I am both humbled and inspired by the strength, resilience, and brilliance of the women and allies who continue to stand with us in advancing our mission.

For nearly four decades, our chapter has served as a powerful voice and catalyst for change — advocating on behalf of Black women and girls, empowering families, and transforming communities across DeKalb County and beyond. Our mission remains unwavering: to advocate on behalf of Black women and girls to promote leadership development and gender equity in the areas of health, education, and economic empowerment.

The work we do is both urgent and impactful. Whether championing equity in public policy, creating pathways to leadership, or building programs that strengthen families and communities, we are driven by a belief that when Black women and girls thrive, our entire society moves forward.

As we move into this administration under the theme “Empowered Voices, Enduring Impact: Advancing Equity, Elevating Leadership, Securing Legacy,” we do so with a bold vision — to deepen our impact, expand our partnerships, and strengthen our capacity to meet the needs of those we serve.

But this work cannot happen in isolation. It requires a collective effort — the engagement of committed members, the collaboration of strategic partners, and the support of a community that believes in justice, equity, and opportunity for all.

I invite you to stand with us. Lend your time, expertise, and treasures to help us amplify the mission and vision of our great chapter. Together, we can build a legacy that not only honors the past but transforms the future — creating a world where every Black woman and girl has the opportunity to lead, to achieve, and to thrive.

With gratitude and purpose,

Gabrielle Rogers
